H.E. Ms. Katrin Kivi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Nepal, made a farewell visit to Nepal.
The Honorary Consul of Estonia in Nepal arranged a farewell reception to
bid farewell to Ambassador Katrin Kivi on May 29th, 2023. During the
reception, ambassadors from different countries, honorary consuls,
consuls general, senior officials from different ministries, and reputed
business personalities were present.
Mr. Nava Raj
Dahal, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Estonia in Nepal,
expressed his gratitude for working together with Her Excellency in
promoting bilateral relations between Estonia and Nepal. He also
acknowledged the pivotal role played by Her Excellency in promoting
mutual understanding and collaboration between the two countries. He
offered his best wishes for a long-lasting, cordial, and mutually
beneficial relationship between Estonia and Nepal.

Katrin Kivi congratulated three Estonian citizens who successfully
scaled Mount Everest in the spring of 2023 during the event. The
Honorary Consul of the Republic of Estonia in Nepal felicitated all the
Estonian climbers who reached the top of Mount Everest.
The
program also included a farewell to Ms. Liisa Schaffrik, an Estonian
citizen and Attache to the delegation of the European Union to Nepal.

Katrin Kivi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Nepal, paid a
farewell courtesy call to the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Nepal, Mr. Narayan Prakash Saud, on May 30th. The two sides exchanged
views on bilateral relations as well as collaboration in multilateral
forums, including the UN.
During her stay, Her Excellency
also met with the Minister of Communication and Information Technology
(MoCIT) of Nepal and the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil
Aviation (MoCTCA) of Nepal.
During her meeting with the
Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT) of Nepal,
various issues were discussed, including the importance of
digitalization and e-Governance in public service delivery, as well as
other areas where Estonia and Nepal can collaborate through IT.
The
Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) of Nepal and
Her Excellency Ms. Katrin Kivi discussed various ways to promote tourism
in both countries.
Her Excellency Ms.
Katrin Kivi also found time to meet the Head of Delegation of the
European Union to Nepal, Ms. Nona Deprez, and the Ambassador of Germany,
Mr. Thomas Prinz to Nepal at their residence.
