VIII Conference of the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Estonia held successfully
The VIII Conference of the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Estonia held in Tallinn and Saaremaa Island, Estonia from 26-29 July 2018. The conference was highly successful with participation of Estonian Honorary Consuls from different countries.
The conference was officially graced and addressed by Rt. Hon. President of the Republic of Estonia Ms Kersti Kaljulaid, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Jüri Ratas, Hon’ble Foreign Minister Sven Mikser and Hon’ble Culture Minister Indrek Saar. Other dignitaries included high level officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including Rainer Saks, Secretary General at the Foreign Ministry and Kersti Eesmaa, Director General of Consular Department. Besides, many other important personalities from business and social fields also took part in the conference.
During the conference presentations and important discussions occurred focusing on the promotion of bilateral trade and tourism ties with Estonia. The conference was well organized by MFA Estonia, thanks to the superb coordination by the Consular Department, namely Director General Kersti Eesmaa for her friendly and active role throughout the conference.
Nava Raj Dahal, Honorary Consul of Estonia to Nepal, also took part in the conference. Mr Dahal personally met with the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The conference offered a fantastic experience to meet and exchange ideas and knowledge with Estonian Honorary Consuls of different countries.
The conference is sure to further promote trade and cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations between Estonia and participating countries.
